A Thanksglvtng service will be
held at the Teaiel Creek church. A
sermon will be delivered in the fore
noon by Rev. Craig, of Molalla. A
dinner will be served at noon. In
the afternoon a short programme and
song service, after which will be sold
to the highest bidder three beautiful
quilts. A good time Is expected. Ev

Rachel Melton has been on the sick
list for a few days, but Is reported
improving.
J. H. Qulnn visited at Marquam a
few days ago. He is preparing to
have the wood sawyer make him some
wood.
Another minister came tip from
Portland Sunday and preached an In
teresting sermon 'and gave the little
folks a fine talk.
The grange met Saturday and had
a most Interesting programme. Sev
eral applications were sent In for
membership.
The Good Templars had an enter
tnlnment in the grange hall and a
verv enjoyable time was had.
Mrs. Powell and daughter, of Prlne-
ville, were visiting friends In Spring
water recently.
A girl baby was born to Mr. nnd

Mr. Twedie Is moving on the farm

hauling gravel from the Mill creek.

Elder G. P. Illch. of Kelso, Oregon,
was stricken with paralysis wluli;
holding a series of meetings at the
Kussellvir.o school bouse, on Friday
evening, November Cth, Just before
meeting time. He was walking In
company with O. S. Boyles whose
guest he had been foV the day. When
near the school house he suddenly
lost the use of himself and could
neither walk nor talk. It was tin ef
fecting sight. Tho people hud as
sembled to hear him preach and when
they came out to see him ho looked
at them, but could not speak. They
hud already heard him preach his last
sermon the evening before, and ttie
hist evi-niiig of the meeting was can
celed by the swift-winged messenger
from the unseen world. He was tak
en In haste to the home of I 13. Trul
linger where Dr. Powell, of Molalla.
soon arrived and pronounced his case
hopeless. His family was summoned
by telephone who arrived the next
day. He remained conscious und
knew his family and'frlends. but could
not speak to them. He died Monday,
November 9, at daybreak. Tho body
was taken to Damascus.
