If the exhibit of Marlon county at the Lewis & Clark Exposition and Fair Is not one of the beat It will be no fault of County Judge Scott, who has entered Into the work of gathering It together, as has also the rest of the oard or committee, with bis whole heart and soul, says the Statesman. Unless something comes up that Is entirely unexpected, at this time, the best things of Marlon county will be gathered together for the purpose of making the finest exhibit that has ever been made of Marlon county pro ducts. County Judge Scott Is writing letters to many prominent men In the county as fast as be can and thus hopes to Induce them all to add to the exhibit, tils letters are models of clinchers and It Is his wish that every farmer, fruit grower, agriculturalist, etc., and whatever he may be If he only grows or produces something, may help the matter along. In these letters the bureau, and especially Judge Scott, gives the farmers, etc., an Idea of what Is wanted, and be ex pects them to do the rest towards making such an exhibit as will at tract the eyes of every person that sees the exhibit In Portland next year. The Idea principally of this exhibit Is to show the development of the county and to show the resources as well as may be possibly done by showing what the county may do. This I will all help to attract attention and thus aid In Inducing Immigration to come here and thia will aid also In attracting to this county In a political way.
