The regular ticket was successful in carrying all the ten wards of Portland. The Independents made the best show in the Fourth Ward, where they got a total of four delegates. The Regulara carried every precinct on tbe East Side of the river, with the partial exception of precinct 44 whete they lost one delegate out of the three. 8. C. Pier has the dis tinction of being the only Independent candidate from the city who will sit in the Republican Couuty Convention in the territory east of the Willamette river.
