At Ihia leaaon o' the year the aulmon are evan more game than uatial and fiord genuine sport in captur ing them. Some have been caught re cently at the mouth of the Clackamas, which is the favorite lirhiug grounda in this section, that will measure two feet and weigh 10 pounds. The average weight of the salmon that are being caught, however, is about pounds. Bad Roys From Portland. Chief of Police Hums on Sunday took into custody two Incorrigible lads of Portland, and re turned them in the afternoon to the Hoys' and Girls' Aid Society, from which they are runaways. The boys gave their names as Hoscoe Potter and Ueorge Oli ver lioxorth, of 2ii4 .Jell'erson street an J 288 Front street, Portland, respectively. Chief Hums says the pair is bad one and reports that their true names and places of residence were only obtained alter a severe questioning, In which the lads were caught in numerous falshoods. Did not Considkr Kknnkdv Can. The Congregational Association, which concluded its sessions in this city last Thursday night, took no action of any kind towards Kev. Kennedy, of Hills boro, who Is charged with burglary. Kev. Kennedy, being a pastor in the service of that denomination, It waa ex pected that the state association might take some action In bis case expressive of the general opinion as to the guilt or Innocence of the accused. While no formal action was taken by the associa tion, some of the delegates did not hesi tate to discuss the subject. While they would not indicate whether they thought Kev. Kennedy guilty of the crime with which he is charged, they take the posi tion that if be ia guilty he should be punished. Mori Litiuation. Three suits were instituted in the Clackamas county cir cuit court Saturday. K. F. Riley has begun a suit against M. F. Parrish to quiet title to lots 1-12 Inclusive and lots 3tt, 37 and 38, block 00, Minthorn'i ad dition to Portland. Anna E. Layman, of Portland, in suit filed today seeks to be divorced from James M. Layman to whom she was married in Portland in September 18U2. Desertion in Wallace, Idaho, in 1001 is alleged as the grounds for asking for a separation. The plaintiff also asks for the custody of three minor children.
