Chapman, who returned Saturday from their honey moon, were very pleasantly surprised at their home on Seventh street Monday evening by a large company of their young friends. Grilley, of Boise, Idaho, and Miss Florence Steiner. of Salem, will take place in Sa lem Wednesday, July 15. Mr. Grilley was formerly located in this city where he served as secretary of the local Y. M. C. A. He now has charge of tbe Boise Association. Miss Steiner is an estim able young woman of the capital city, being the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Steiner, pioneer residents ofihat city. Discovery of a Human longing to a Student, Wag Cause. Skeleton, Be- The discovery by neighbors Tuesday of parte of a human skeleton on the Nel son farm near Molalla, this county, caused a great seneation among the peo ple of that section of tbe county. Disin tegration of the flesh, from the bones was not complete and the discoverers figured that they had unmistakable evidence of a murder. Coroner Holman, of this city, was notified and an investigation of the find completely exploded the murder theory. Fred Nelson, deputy Clackamas county assessor, is improving bis spare time in tbe study of medicine and in the earnest application to bis textbooks, was ignor antly responsible for the sensation. He recently procured a cadaver that he took to his farm near Molalla where be wan reducing tbe same into a skeleton as am aid in his study of human anatomy.
