The joint legislative committee that was appointed to meet and welcome in to (he si ale President Roosevelt and partv, has concluded to meet the nation's chief at Salem when the presidential prty reaches lhat point on May 20. This conclusion has been reached by the committee In deference to the expressed wn-h of President Roosevelt that there be no formal receptions or demonstra tions at the state line.
