Campo was woiking some distance from

went home for dinner he found his home
in ashes. The house had caught lire
about 11 o'clock, and supposed to lie due
to a defective fl'te. At the time there
was no one, except Mr-. Campo and
tier daughter-in-law, in the house, hut
they soon rang up the neighbo s or. the
telephone; but the fire made such ti-rce
headway that it was impossible to save
anything. This is a hard stroke for Mr.
and Mrs. Camim; they did not even
have a change of clothes left, and noth
ing to eat and no piace to t-leep, but the
neighbors have not been flow- in this
