Henrv Ott. 13 vear of age, who ran
way from hi home at Sunnyside last
Friday, was taken into custotiy in uim
cily Saturday night. He wa taken
home by his brother. Thi i the third
time the boy ha run away from hi
borne, and it i believed that hi mind is
unbalanced. While confined in ttyi city
jail the boy continually beat the iron
bars, thinking he might effect his escape.
Wacheno Tribe, No. 13. Order of Red
Men, gave a bean so.ial and banquet
Saturday evening, in their hall, in honor
of John Wisemantle, the eldest member
of the order. Mr W'ieemantle also cele
brated bis CVIi birthday. Speeches were
made by the different members present
and music was furnished by the Macca-
bee quartet. Different games were
plaved and at the close a banquet
served, wbiih sent all the

Last Tuesday afternoon the stock
holilur of the Willamette Valley Chau
tauqua Association held a meeting to
bear a report ol a committee appointed
everal day ago to out line a plan for re
organization of the association, in order
lo make it more permanent. The com

lo the circuit court against John Church
ill and Sarah Churchill to recover the ura
of $125.38. Tbe plaintiff allege in their
complaint that between January 9, 187,
and January 1. 1901, they sold ana ae
livered to the defendants certain good
and merchandise amounting to $420.72.
The defendants have paid $295.34, leav
inir balance of $125.38. for which the
plaintiffs demand judgment.
