His family will move from across the railroad track as soon as it is completed. Mr. Jacob Sparr died Monday in Tort land at St. Vincent's hospital of cancer of the throat. He w as buried at New Era Wednesday. The Artisans gave an invitation nipper Saturday evening in the city hall ; owing t ) the inclement weather the attendance was not quite as good as usual. Miss Sarah Deals died at the home of Geo. Rauch at 4:30 a. m. Tuesday of consumption, Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Thursday at noon. Miss Maud Haney, formerly of Port land, was married to E. H. Will of Au rora, lata Wednesday afternoxn at the First B.iptist church, by Rev. Alexander Blackburn. The young couple gave reception Saturday evening at their future home in Aurora, Cirna. Miss Vada Dilia called on Miss .May Mooie bunday. Evans returned home Saturday from a visit to Inerids near Oregon City. Mr. and Mrs. T. Cism and family, of California, visited last week with bis sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Howard. Honorable Gilbert Hedges will address the citizens of Barlow and vicinity, soon, on the leading question of the day. D. Kydd haB purchased the Howard property and some adjacent land. He intends building on it in the Spring. A. VV. Freeman, from Jennings, Mon tana, visited several days with his broth er and family, Mr. and Mr. D. 0. Free man. Messrs Molvio and King entertained the Euchre club Saturday evening. A large crowd was present and a very en joyable time was had by all. The prizes were very pretty and appropriate. A dainty and appetizing lunch was served to which all did ample jnntice. Viola. Kev. R. E. Dunlap, of Canby, and Rev, J. W. Eron, of Viola, exchanged pulpits Sunday, February 9th. Sevier & Hickinbothem saw mill is now about completed and they are turn ins out a good quality of lumber.
