to make a chit-ken house of it.
Henry Steers, of Turtlaod, lias been

Mrs. Mary Albright and Miss Muriel
Winger, were visiting Mr. and Mrs. El
mer Albright, of Molalia, last week.
Mr. P. Jones cut his finger a short time
ago and blood poison set in. The doctor
was summoned in time to prevent it
from being fatal.
Revival meetings are now in progress
at the M. E. Church. The attendance
is good and interest increasing. Hev. J.
M. Sweuey, of Brooks, is assisting tie
pastor.
Miss Minnie Dunlavy came home from
east of the mountains last Wednesday.
She likes it very much and intends to
return there shortly and talks of taking
Emma, her youngest sister, back with
ber.
Mr. C. Bentley, of Portland, was visit
ing his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W.
Bentley, last week. Mr. Bentley lias
been working in a sawmill but has just
secuied a position in a wholesale seed

Win. F. Douglass has sold bis interest
in the sawmill business at Stevenson
and has returned to Eagle Creek to try
his fortune.
J. D. Douglass and wife, of Dufur, ac
companied by W. J. Howlitt and wife,
went to Damascus yesterday to visit A.
W. Cooke and family. J
Walter Douglass and familv will start
home soon. Tbey live in Wasco County
and have been visiting friends at Eagle
Creek for about two weeks.

ended by several of the boys being ar
rested and having to pay a fine, so we
think they will be more careful next time
how they behave.
