John Roberts, who has the contact for cleaning ont a portion of the Seeiy ditch, has a force of men at work and 11 pushing the work right along, George Seely has gone to the hospital at Portland, where he has submitted to two operations on his foot. We hope he will soon be well enongh to return home. Penn Short, a former resident of this vicinity, but vbo has resided in British Columbia for the last five or six years, visited needs and relatives ia this neighborhood for several days. Barlow. J.
