gdoon late Wednesday night the pre
prietor, James Miller, was cut by a knife
in the hands of Chas. Hester. The rallle
was for a duck and Hester wou. He
then claimed he thought It was for geese
and demanded a goose or two ducks.
He became so noisy that Millor marched
him out on the sidewalk and ordered
him to Blay out. As Miller entered the
saloon Hester slashed him bctobs the left
ghouldor and then followed hlra behind
the bar where be cut him over the heart,
doing no damage. The cut on Miller's
arm was quite deep. It is said that the
cutting grew out of an old grudge. Hes
ter will be prosecuted,
