youngsters as well as old people very sick
for a few days and if parent do not take
interest enough in the health ol their child

Our postmaster, W. D. Uelshaw has re
moved with his w ife and family to Uockford.

ueighbors. We w'sh them success in their
new home. Tbe postotllce is now kept by
Mr. J. M. Uehymer.
Oswald Kehymer, who was taken to the
bo-pnal sometime ago to undergo an opera
tion by Drs. Carll Si Somners, is recovering.

"Salvation Army home for the friendless,"

They do all things gratis and are depen
dent on charity.
A "Cake Walk" took place here last
Saturday evening in the town hall under
the auspices of tbe Artisans. The allaii
was a grand success. Miss Hattie Mans
field and Robert Boiinelt won the cake.

Hunter as "Rastus Kphriarn Johnson;-'
resitation, Miss Hattie Mansfield as "Miss
Sue;" song and chorus, Iwls Crookshank

Morris as "Cloy Clallord;" the banjo arid
the possum, by Miss Niles as "Drucillu
Evlena Smith;" solo, Sliss Jessie Mansfield

Chorus, Kohl. Bonnett as "Peter Blufl Hob
son;'' song, Fred Rogers as "Peter Jack
son;" The Kicking Mule, Mrs. Collins s
"Ambieno Snowdrop;" specialty act, Chas.
Meldrum as "Bradley Morton of tin
Famous Ball." After the program the
cake walic commenced and the competing
for the cake. The audience was laughing
continuously from start to finish. All the
walkers did excellent and deserve much
praise although in their burnt cork appearance.
