When they sang, I thought of 1778 and
1812 but I didn't mention it. The
English sailors are very friendly and say

we are cousins, at least. I had a chat
with one fellow and be said "you fellows
aren't Yankees any more and we aren't

are yery pretty and graceful. The
Englishmen will give a ball tomorrow
evening and have invited as. The Celtic
left on the evening of the 15th to stop
the colliers at Puento Arenas, Chili, so

I don't know where I will write from
next, but expect to be at sea, Christmas,

sail for Cape Town and from there to
Manila to relieve the Olympia.

Her husband, Horace Baker, who died

carved out bis own tombstone. They
settled on the home place in 1846 and re

The deceased had been helping butcher
hogs a few hoars before his death. Cor

Dimick visited the case and the coroner
ordered the body buried, without hold
ing an inquest. Probably his death was
caused by over exertion, resulting in
rupturing a blood vessel.
