The member! of tho local wheel men' organization of which John F. Clark ia prenidont, R. E. Williams vice president ; and V. A. Huntley, F. E. Donaldson, F, 8. Kelley and J, M. Law rence trustees, will use every effort and pledge themselves to assist the police oftlct-rs in enforcing any reasonable ordi nance regulating the use of wheels. It ia always aome rattle-brained youngstor who spurts through the street like the belated fragment of a storm and not in (mi hers of any bicycle club. The care ful rider should not bo made to sudor for the misdemeanors of the reckless and lawless. If a fair and equitable ordi nance is passed tiy tho council they will resolve the co-operation of the sensible wheelmen of the city in enforcing it. lleckloss riders will use the sidewalk more or loss in spite of any oidinance to the contrary and it will be impossible to apprehend and punlHli the violators with our meager police force. In fact it will be impossible to enforce any bicycle ordinance without the co-operation of the responsible wheelmen of the com munity. A Nation or Rkadkks.
