Then came soma instrumental music by Mesdames Carlton and Rosen krans ami Mr. Robert Coe who re.onded to a hearty encore. Master Ernest Shank recited a selection in a very defer manner, after which the audience sang Throw Out the Life Line.'- Muster Sumner Daugherty was next on the program with a recitation which was well rendered. Miss Ruby Ho pmg next recited a comic selection in very entertaining manner. Mesilamea Carlton and Riwenkraus and Mr. Robert Coe again pleasantly entertained the audience A Chorus of little girls sang pretty song which added materially to the evening's pleasures. Miss Eva Terry came next with a recitation and the program was concluded w ith a selection by the orchestra. After the entertainment everybody was treated to collee and cake. Claudie Howard who has been away from home for some time returned last week and a pleasant surprise was given him by the yoang people who met at Ibe residence of Mrs C. F. Mr Briscoe was over from West Portland last week on business. Another quilting last week. Mrs. Cotty Invited quite a number of ladies to her house and they pat in and quilted out two quilts. All had nice time and several staid until after the cottage prayer meeting in Ibe evening. Mrs Harlan of Damascus passed through here last week on her way to Portland lo gel her pension which has recently been granted. Mrs. Cotty w ho received a very severe fall lat week is able to be out again and at tended church yesterday. Rev. Cook preached yesterday. Rev. Barrett went to Logan and the Hatchery and Rev. F. M.
