There is a perennial charm about a lot of lolly collego songs sung by a lot of jolly collego boys. They go with a swing and abandon that makes their spirit In fectious. The entertainment was novel and refreshing and their singing, play ing and sketch work thoroughly up-to-date. Everything they ollered was en thusiastically received by the audience. Their visit here was a compliment to our peoplo and W. B. Shivoly, as well as tho lormer Stantonl students in the city, deserve much credit for getting them to play hero. The entertainment was ele vating and enobling in its character and should the boys ever visit this city again they would lio greeted with a crowded house. Tiik Rkadino Koom. The annual meeting of the Oregon City free reading room was held last Saturday evening. The reports of the secretary, treasurer and librarian were read, approved and ordered placed on file. The receipts for the your have been $473.70 and the disbursements $472,70, leaving a balance of $1.00. Tho librarian's report shows that 32 papers aro received, eight daily, three semi-weekly and 21 weekly; 13 magazines are received, six weekly and seven monthly. We acknow ledge the receipt ol the first issue of the Inter Mountain Industries, a 32-pagu magazine published at Halt Lake City and devoted to horticulture, agriculture, mining, manufacture, irrigation, etc. The current number contains an exhaus tive resume of the industries of Utah. A. vocal music class commenced its second term Tuesday night with Mrs. J. II. Strickler as instructor. Mrs. Stickler's well known ability to make a success of anything in the line of music makes her an ideal teacher for this class and all are Invited to take an interest in making this a ermanent part of the association.
