WllsunviUe Items. The rush of the hop picking is nearly over and will soon be a thing ol the past. The rain has interfered somewhat with the pickers but no serious damage is done to Ihe hops. Nearly all pickers this year are while people W. A. Crissel has Japs for his yard but all the neighboring yards have white families who go and camp. A party of boys came up from Portland to pick for Peterson and Tooze and last Sunday it is presumed they went on a foraging expedi tion and were caught shooting chickens in Mr. Yager's barn yard. All that remains to be said is that the next boat carried them back to Portland. Fred Schwartz is diggings well on his place and making preparations to build a residence. Fred has lately become a bene dict and we w ish him success. Joe Roberts has moved on C. T.
