I've, chairman of the com iniliee of judges of Ihe contest, was introduced, and waa greeted with ap plause loud and long, and mixed with expectancy. The audience expected to bear some results, hut they were disap pointed. After keeping them iu sua lieiise for a tew minutes, both teams and the public were invited lo the base ment, where the two teams were seated at separate tables decorated with the team colors. When they were all sealed at the tables, Mr. Dye announced the result. The "reda" bad scored Ui) point, and the "yellows" 147 pointa. The former were the ablest financiers, and secured thu most money with appli cations, but the latter brought in the largest number of new members, 132. The "reds," who teored the largest nuinlicr of points, only brought in 108 new members, K. K. Martin was captain of the "reds," and his lieutenants were Chas. Drew, U. II. l'.estow, (i . W. Swoe, ti. T. Howard, 11. J. Scott and John Hum phreys. It. S. Uellomy, captuin of the yellows," had the following lieuten ants: Kohert Warner, Martin Hoy lea, Kriislus Smith, William Vearh, Joseph Mc.Oomh, Dr E. A. Summer. Eras- tus Smith scored 45 points, the highest individual score made. Two hundred and forty new members were added during the contest, making a total of 1175. the largest in point o( mem bership of any Young Men's Christian Association in the northwest.
