For the past tour years, Miss Graham has resided in Port land with her sister, Mrs. George Fuchs, and has been holding tho poait'on of type writer and stenograper in a well known whulesule house. Oregon City received Wednesday after noon a visit from the physicians who are in Portland attending the National Elec trical Physicians Association. There were a number ol ladiea in the party, which filled three electric cars on the trip from Portland. At Seventh street President E- E. Charinan of board ot trade, and a number of citisens, met the visitors and escorted them across the suspension bridge a nil t bowed them the sights on the West Bide, alter hich the party returned to the East Side afi(! spent an hour looking over the city. Tin visitors were from nearly all the states of the Union, and expressed the fact that Oregon City would compare in iieV growth and possibilities with the most favored towns of the East, and that at a future day a great manufacturing city would be gathered about the falls of the Willamette. Distinguished Guests. Tuesday afternoon Mayor Straight had asguesta of the city, the cutis?! and other city officers of Seattle and Mayor Frank and a part of the Portland city council. The party was accompanied by several prominent men of Portland, among them being W. W. Goode, of the Electric Company, who assited in show ing them through the electric station. The party came by special car on the East Side road and were met by Mayor Straight, Pres. Charman of the board of trade and P. F. Morey, C, II. Cautield, and a number ot other citizens of Oregon City and taken through the points of interest on the east side of the river. At electric station A the visitors were taken aboard the steamer Altona and given a ride up through the basin around the head of the falls and the factories on the weBt side. After send ing nn hour inspecting these, a ride on the elegant coaches of the Willamette Falls electric line to Willamette was taken and the party given a chance to view the great falls of the Willamette river from the hillB above. On their re turn the partv boarded the Altona and were given a pleasant river ride to Port land. Each one of the visitors was greatly pleased with Oregon City and expressed great confidence in the future of the city as a great manufacturing center. Chuututiqua Hoarders. The three large trains that went up from Mc.Minn ville and Portland, were loaded down with passengers, and even comfortable standing room was at a premium on some of the cars.
