Tut tle, the allowance was increased to 8 per month. In tbe matter of tbe petition of J. S. Vaughn and J. R. Kingston for a change in the Graham's ferry and Butteville road, it was ordered that George White, E. S. McClinney and Max Schulpius as viewers and D. W. Kinnaird as sur veyor to meet at place of beginning on March 23rd at 10 o'clock a. m. In the matter of the care and keeping of Isaac Thornton, it was ordered that M er month be allowed for said pur pose, warrants for same to be issued In favor of William Knight. In tbe rua'ter of reducing allowance made for care of paupers, Ole Hansen was reduced from $15 to $10 per month, and Mrs. Canning from $10 to $3 per month. In the matter of tbe care of Mrs. Ross, indigent, said Mrs. Ross was transferred to the care of Mrs. L. A. Winesett, and it was ordered that war rants for her care and keeping be drawn in fayor of said Mn. In the matter of the petition to change tbe voting place in Milk creek precinct, it was ordered that said petition be de nied, as the pet;. You will employ none but those qualified to do good days work , and in every in stance to give tbe preference to taxpay ers of this couuty. You will collect poll tax from every person employed on road work, legally liable to such a tax. It will be the duty of every supervisor to labor as do. those employed by him, when not otherwise engaged. You will carefully inspect all bridges, culverts, etc., within your precinct and report their condition to this court or the road master. In the expenditure of the road money within your precinct, you will be governed by the orders of this court or the roadmaster, preference being given in all cases to its expenditure upon the Rfructiona from Ibis court or the road rraatur, any small bridge or culvert that in in a dangerous condition, where the coat of such repairs or renewal does not exceed J5. 'T'. In tbe mat'er of the mileage and per diem of commissioners, R. Scott was al lowed for three days and 16 miles and 15 miles extra, $12 10; Frank Jaggar, three days and 12 miles, $10 20. Tax-Roll Summary. Last Monday morning County Clerk Horton delivered to Sheriff Maddock. the tax roll for 1895, extended and cor rected to date, with accompanying war rant authorizing the sheriff to collect the state, county, school and municipal corporation taxes due from the residents of Clackamaa county for the year 1S95, between the Dth day of March, 1S9G, and the 1st day of of May, 1896, inclusive. There was quite a rush to the sheriff's office Mon day morning, and Deputy Sheriff Moody was kept busy for a considerable portion ot the forenoon writing out re ceipts for prompt taxpayers.
