Halloween night was made thoroughly interesting by th Juve niles of Oswego who started their depreda tions by tearing up th new sidewalk from the depot to Oldtown, and Ed Dupui'swalk to the Oswego hotel. They then tor down th signs from the hardware store, and tak ing th Jeweller's sign and barber pole hung them up on the depot; turned over out buildings, changed th wheels on wagons, cut the rope on the 0. I. and S, Co.'s crane at the lake, and hauled Siierintndent Pollock's double buggy down to Rees ,t Co.'s barn and attempted to put it lim the roof, but their strength or courage gave out and they contented themselves with other escapades, such as tearing down signs, breaking gates and destroying proertv generally. Now there is do doubt that most of our citizens would be willing to stand a little In convenience for the amusement of our fim loving youths, but when it comes to the wanton destruction of proerty th fun ceases, and those engaged In it lay them selves on to criminal action, and it ia the dutv of every citizen to assist in bringing the erprtratnrs to Justice and seeing that they be summarily dealt with. The revival meetings at the M. E. church are being well attended. Ed. Pupiiis is laying a new side walk from the depot to his hotel.
