Prosjiects for a good fruit crop are not
nearly as bright as they seemed a few
weeks since when nearly every one
thought that wo were certain of a good
yield. Tho recent heavy inins seem to
have acted as a blight on many of the
blossoms so that the fruit has not
formed as thoru was every appearance
that it would. Homo of the cherry trees
will have few or no cherries on them and
peaches are much in tho sumo fix, many
of the trees looking as if dead, as the
loaves and young fruits have nearly all
dropped oil". Unless this cold wet
weather lots up other crops will he
greatly damaged.
