voters of School District No. 62, of
Clackamas County, State of Oregon,
that the annual school meeting for
said district will be held at the City
Hall building on the East side, of Main
street, between Seventh and Eighth
Streets, in Oreg6n City, Oregon, to be
gin at the hour ot one o'clock p. m.
on the third Monday in June, being
the 19th day of June A. D., 1922.
This meeting is called for the pur
pose of submitting the annual reports
of the directors and clerk and the
transaction of 'business usual, at such
meeting.

Eighth Street thereof from the
Westerly line of Main Street to the
stone wall at top of bluff near Water
Street, approximately 65 cubic yards
of old macadam excavated and remov
ed, and 822 square yards of six inch
concrete pavement.
Contractor to furnish all material
and labor and lay same in accordance
with the plans and specifications
thereof, now on file in the office of
the City Recorder. ,
The cost of such improvement shall
be paid by the property owners bene
fitted thereby, according to the city
charter and payment shall be made
from the respective improvement
funds.
The Council reserves the right to re
ject any or all bids.
Certified check for five per cent re
quired with bid.

Nominating Eleticon held May 19,
1922, In BORING and COTTRELL
precincts, in the County of Clackamas,
State of Oregon, a vote was taken for
and against stock running at large in
said above named precincts, and said
vote resulted in a majority of votes
being cast against stock running at
lavge in said precincts.
- THEREFORE, in accordance with
the Statute in such cases made and
provided, it shall be unlawful,, sixty
days after the date of this notice, for
stock to run at large in the above
named precincts . under penalty of
$10.00 for the first offense and $20.00
for each and every subsequent offense

Two special Southern Pacific trains
carrying 351 tons of silk valued at
approximately $5,6000,000, left San
Franiscco on the evening of June 4,
for New York. The silk shipment, the
largest to pass through the port ol
San Francisco this year, came in on
the - Tenyo Maru, Nineteen special
silk cars were used in transporting the
silk.
It Can't Be Done
Every so often we read of the news
paper editor who starts out to tell the
truth, and we note that he doesn't last
long. Not that we want to aUscourage
turthfulness; on the other hand we
merely -want to say that you can tell
the truth anywhere else but in the
newspaper. The latter example comes
from Southern Kansas, when an editor
wrote the following about a wedding
in his town. -
