AorivoA a a rp.uilt of normal conditions beinfc re
stored throufeh Chiropractic, Elbert Hubbard has investigated
spinal adjustments end has token them personally.
A a remit of his own experiences, he
makes the following remarks, -which
are condensed from his recent book en
titled, "The New Science, or The Fine
Art of Getting Well and Keeping So:"
Above all things, a fcood Chiroprac
tor has faith in Nature. He does not
make his proud boast that he cures
people. He knows it is Nature that
heals. All the Chiropractor can do is
to put hi patients in line with the
heafinft forces of Nature. Chiropractic
never brings an adverse result.
The Chiropractor does not pin his
ELBERT HUBBARD faith to any smfele panacea, ne simpiy
knows the physical fact that a pressure
of bone on nerve brinfcs about a condition where the tele
feraph system fails to net properly. He sees the result, ond
nis business is to fco after the cause. With skillful manipula
tion of the hand, he brings about a ri&ht relationship and proper
adjustment He finds the cause and removes it.
Chiropractors are not DOCTORS OF MEDICINE. From
them we feet a science which is adding fcreatly to the
welfare and happiness, and the well beinfc of the world.
If you are sick, worn out, or racked with disease,
your trouble may be due to nerve pressure, which
is hindering Nature from performing its work.
Come in for an analysis and let as tell you frankly
just what Chiropractic can do for you,

Live Tree 1350 Years Old Found, but
Logs in Fair Building Ruined
A forest ranger on the Olympic
National Forest has reported a Doug
las fir tree which is over 1350 years
old. Hitherto the oldest Douglas fir
of which there was an accurate record
had 740 annual rings.
And coincident with the finding of
this veteran monarch of the forests,
the discovery has been made that the
magnificent trunks and logs that go
to make up the forestry buildings at
Seattle and the Portland exposition
grounds are in bad shape, though not
anywhere near record age.
Professor H. A. Winkenwerder of
the University of Washington Forest
School, who has charge of the work
being done to preserve the forestry
building at the A. Y. P. grounds in
Seattle, was in Portland recently and
took a trip to the forestry building at
the Lewis & Clark grounds to learn
what Portland is doing to preserve
from decay the columns in this great
building. He iyeemed to think that it
will require great skill to preserve
both the Seattle and the Portland for-
estry building, for it is a difficult
problem to combat the decay which
has a strong foothold in the logs.

Philadelphia, Pa. "lam just 52 years
of age and during Change of Life I suf

terribly. I tried sev

seemed to give me
any relief. Every
month the pains were
intense in both sides,
and made me so
weak that I had to
go to bed. At last
a friend recommen

and found much relief. After that I
had no pains at all and could do my

as always. For years I have praised
