In the, matter of application of Mead Post No. 2, G. A. R. for relief for indigent soldiers; ordered that a warrant issue to said Mead Post No. 2, for $15.00. Mrs. J. R. Humphreys received word Monday morning the sad intel ligence of the death of her mother, Mrs. Anna Hoyt, who passed away at the family home at Woodstock, Canada, Sunday morning, after an ill ness of several months, Mrs. Hum phrey had been advised of her moth er's illness and had intended, to leave after the' holidays, for a visit with her mother. The death came as, a terrible shock to her. The funeral services took place Tuesday afternoon at the home in Canada. Mrs. Hoyt, besides being survived by her daughter, leaves two other daughters, Mrs. C. L. Hale, of Holt ton, Maine; Miss Anna Hoyt of Wood stock; and one son Thomas Hoyt of St. Johns, Canada. Mrs. Hoyt at the time of her death was 79 years of age. Her death was caused by bronchitis followed by an attack of pneumonia. THE GRANGE Conducted by J. W. D ARROW, Chithtm. N. Y.. Every One Looking Forward to the Greatest Session a to Number and General Interest That Hat Been Held In Recent Years. The local committee in charge of ar rangements and program for the next national grange meeting, to be held at Manchester, N. H., in November, has made a preliminary announcement. The following Is the tentative program: Tuesday, Nov. 11. Evening session only at which official welcome will be extended by the governor of New Hampshire, may or of the city, congressman and a past master of the state grange. Wednesday, Nov. 12. Business sessions morning and afternoon and a public meet ing in the evening, which will be address ed by Secretary of Agriculture Houston of Washington, the national master and others. Thursday, Nov. 13. Business session in the morning, conferring of the fifth and sixth degrees for out of state Patrons In the afternoon and the seventh degree In the evening. Friday, Nov. 14. Business session in the morning," conferring the fifth and sixth degrees on New Hampshire Patrons in the afternoon and the seventh degree in the evening. Saturday, Nov. IB. Business session In the morning and in the afternoon a trip to Concord as guests of the state and city of Concord. Round table session In the evening. Bunday, Nov. 16. The chamber of commerce of Man chester has entered into a contract with the national grange to guarantee hotel rates so that there shall be no ex tortion. The Manchester hotel will be headquarters. The committee announc es that all who attend will have good accommodations. Manchester can take care of 5,000.
