Sudden Death of Carl Dawson Carl Dawson, the 2ft year old son of Mr. 'and Mrs. Jaiue Dawson, who re side on John Adams street in this city, died at the family home Thurs day evening of meninigtis, death having resulted from the effects of a Bliver puncturing the face near the eye, about five weeks ago, while the young man was working on a wood saw about this citv. Not very much attention was given the slight wonnd at'that time and he went to the hop fields, where it is presumed that poison got into the wound, resulting in a deep-seated trouble ultimately causing meninigtis. The trouble was not considered dangerous until about one week ago, when the present oondition developed, aud it was found impossible to aid the sufferer, and the end came suddenly Thursday evening. This is tbe second call or death at this family home within a short time. Eleven weeks ago an older brother met accidental death from a falling tree. The funeral was held Saturday af ternoon at 3 p. m., from the resi dence, Rev. T. F. Bowen of Sellwocd officiating.
