Six months 7t Palu in advance, por year II BL SWEEPING THE NATION The canting of ones ballot at many elections in tlie past 1ms been a mere form tn many, and no interest taken in the selection of representatives servants' to do the will of tlio public, in county and statu elections. In Or eon this year conditions have oliannod. Tliore is working in every manner possible, every underground channel available, the still hand of the assembly, tho jziind of tho power ful machine boss, to swerve tho peo ple from their course of riirht "id jus tice to themselves into the hands of the corrupt political boss rule. The Courier has always expressed the greatest faitli in the people and their ability to govern ana uiaue tnoir own selections, and it believes that at tlie coming election, at the primaries, there will be a very stronuons demon stration as to what tlie pooplo wish understood once and for all, as re gards thoir desires to have upheld these splendid laws for which the state has become a leader in the cause for the people's lights. There are bofore the votors this fall at the primaries candidates who have come out in the open and are support ing thoBe laws, and there are a few who have asked the pooplo to reinstate the bosses. What arj you going to do about it, Mr. Voter? The Courier will predict for Olacxauias county that she will speak in no weak terms and will decide once for all, that thore is baokbono and a desiro for bettor citizenship. Look ovor care fully the names prosonted to you, and where tliore is an ollicesookor who does not Btaud for tho principles that are right, or where such sincerity is vascillating or weak or prompted by a dosire to hoodwink, being tho tools of coruption, cut hiin out from your list. Vote for those in whom de pendence can be placed to properly oarry out the terms in which you liavo spoken. The issues today are primarily the anti-assembly against tho assembly, the common people against the cor ruptionists and boss rulo, the old time politioal.ringsters, graftors, spoilers, favoritism and wrookors of decent government and Immunity. The vote must be decisive, Tho cry has caught the eai'B of some of the greatest lead ers and thinkers cf the nation ; it has boeu heralded from coast to coast with tolling etfoct, sweeping the na tion like a great and warming ray of sunshine after a darkened cloud of suppression, distrosB and all that can be counted as vile and corrupt.
