Ah a result lie was thrown against tho concrete wall with force enough to render him uii consoious for quite awhile'. Ho was taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital, Whero'it was found that 'two ot the, nerves in the right shoulder hadbcen nevnred, and fears are entertained by tho physicians that his right side will be 'completely paralyzed. Pupils Must Have Clean Faces At the suggestion of Oregon City School Superintendent Toozo, the board of directors were authorized to purohase rive dozen towels for the uho of the various rooms. Mr. Toozo is determined 'hat cleanliness shall rule, a n l any child who comes to school with dirty faacu or hands will be sent out by the teacher to use soap, water and towel. Mr. Tooze insists that the rooms anil the pupils shall be clean and orderly lirst of all, and he is having the hearty co-operation of the hoard of dimeters. The board held its regular meeting Monday evening and Superintendent Toozo made the announcement of the weekly assembly hour, which is held in the high school every Wednesday morning. This is an innovation in the Oregon Oity schools. Prominent local men have been invited to talk to the high school students on cur rent subjects. Dr. A. L. Heiitie will talk on "Tho Care of tho Teeth" and State Senator Hedges is scheduled for an early address on "The Oregon Senate." Other citizens will talk to the students during the school year. Mr. and Mrs. LeeBon have rosided in Oregon two years, aud have made their home in Colton dur ing that time. Mrs. Leeson wss born iu Peters borough, Canada, January 1, 1847, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hastings. There are three children surviving besides Iier husband. They are, Al fred, of British Columbia ; Bert aud Miss Annie Leeson, of Colton; two sisters, Mrs. William Gardner, of Ore gon City ; Mrs. C. Ireland, of Sault Sic. Mario, Canada; three brothers, Hubert Jackson, of Potorsborough, Canada ; Henry Jackson, British Co lumbia; Goorge Jackson, Peters borough. Canada. , Mrs. Leeson has boon a patient suff erer with inflammatory rheumatism for tho past 25 years but up to the last she had a wonderful memory. Although her health had been gradu ally failing for the past month, her loath was sudden and came as a shock to her family.
