SPECIALS FOR OPENING DAY
mmmvwwuii it v mm event.
AT HUNTLEY'S
THURSDAY, DEC, 3rd
Another year has rolled around
and we again have the pleasure of
announcing our annual Holiday open
ing. This is a custom we started in
Oregon City several years ago and
the habit has grown upon us until,
like many of our customers, we look
forward to this day with a great deal
of pleasure. Each year we give some
fitting souvenir of the occasion and
this time we have secured 500 hand
some decorated China Plates for this
One only will be given to
each customer making a purchase of
25 cents or over. Besides this beauti
ful plate, which of itself is worth
more than 25 cents, we will give
away five prizes as follows: To
every lady visitor a numbered ticket
will be given entitling the holder to a chance in the drawing,
no purchase being necessary to get a ticket. The prizes will
be :
1st Prize--A Fine Leather Bag, value $5.00
2nd. " A Silk Umbrella, " $4.00
3rd " A Piece of Chinaware " $3.00
4th " Hand Painted Jardinere $2.00
5th " Box of Stationery " $1.00
At this time we will have our Holiday stock marked and displayed on our
counters where you can look things over at your leisure. You will not be asked
to buy ; indeed it is our intention to make this opening day one of pleasure for
every person coming to our store, and no visitor will be asked or expected to buy
unless they wish. We will have two musical programmes, one from 2 to 5 in
the afternoon and from 7 to 9 in the evening. During the evening the drawing
will take place and the prizes will be awarded.
OVER 200 STYLES OF BRUSHES
Just think of being able to select your hair brush from a lot
of 200 kinds. That means a stock of brushes that would last
the ordinary drug store for years, but we import them our
selves, save at least 25 per cent, on the first cest and then sell
them sell them out so quickly that we don't have to make
the fancy profit usually made on this class of goods. The
prices range from 25c to $7.50, so we can suit every purse.
20 PER CENT DISCOUNT
Just because it's " Opening Day" we will deduct 20 per
cent from the already low price of our hair brushes on this day.
The brushes are marked in plain figures and you can see for
yourself just how much the saving will be. This is an ex
ceptionally good time to buy for your holiday needs.
