Through his attorney, W. B. Hayes,
E. H. Parker, a Portland physician,
has commenced suit In the Circuit
Court against H. W. and Anita Kopp,
to recover $235 due him for medical
services rendered by him. During
the month of March, 190G, plaintiff
was engaged to attend to Anita Kopp,
and rendered services to the amount
of $250. Of this amount, only $15 has
been paid, so the plaintiff asks the
balance with Interest thereon at the
rate of six per cent from May 1, 1906.

Mrs. J. Levitt of this city, who has
been In poor health for some time,
was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital
Friday, and was operated upon the
following day. Since that time she

Dies of Pneumonia.
Mrs. Lizzie E. Smith died Saturday
at hor residence in Falls view.
Death was due to a severe attack of
pneumonia. Deceased was a native
of Germany, but came to this country
when eight years of age. The funeral
was held Monday from the residence
under tho auspices of the Knights and
Ladies of Security, the service being
conducted by Rev. John M. Linden of
the Baptist church. Mrs. Smith was
the wife of L. T. Smith.
