Raises Money for Sidewalk
Fund.
The Mount Pleasant Civic Improve
ment Club gave a "Guess What" so
cial at the schoolhouse on Tuesday
evening and the proceeds amounted
to $5.00, which will go towards the
sidewalk fund, the sidewalk to ex
tend to the Tabor place. On the ar
rival of each person a slip of paper
bearing a name was pinned on his
back, and at an appointed time during
the evening he was made to guess
the name on the card, and caused
much amusement. This was follow
ed by a spelling school match, and all
who participated proved to be experts
in spelling. During the ev
ening cake and coffee were served by
the ladies of the club. Misses Velma
and Ova Myers gave a pleasing vocal
duet during the evening.
