5 L a THE little over-dress here pictured will be found wonder fully attractive for the small maiden. It Is suitable for the washable fabrics as well as the light weight woollens and may be worn without the gulmpe If low neck and short sleeves are desired. A broad tuck extends over the shoulders and a deep bertha finishes the round neck. The full straight skirt Is simply finished by a deep hem and gathered to the waist. Cashmere rimmed with strappings of velvet caught down with pearl buttons is represented, but challls, albatross, pongee, linen and gingham are all suitable. The easy, graceful lines of this frock render It particularly attractive. The blouse is in the popular jumper style with wide kimono sleeve. The mode Is unusually becoming to the childish figure, and Is equally suitable for the wash fabrics and light weight woollens. The full skirt Is attached to a body lining that closes in the back. The sleeves may be full length or terminate at the elbow. Figured challls was used for the development, but other materials are adaptable, such as alba tross, cashmere, China silk, linen and chambray. Very charming and dainty effects are obtained by the use of Valenciennes and Cluny lace. This one la charmingly dainty and so simple that the veriest novice could easily fashion one for herself. It Is fitted by means of shoulder and under-arm seams and extends slightly over the shoulder in a becoming manner. It may be worn over any gulmpe or pretty lingerie waist and is adapted to several materials, such as linen, pongee, voile, cashmere and taffeta silk.
