Drowned In Mill Pond.

Coiouer R. L. Holman held an inquest
over the romains.Olsen had been work

his fellow workmen iiad left him

nine feet of water.
Olsen was an unmarried man, 31
years of age, and so far as known,

ed several places in Scotland, and Eng
land besides his old home which is in
Aberdeen. The trip was thoroughly
enjoyed, and Mr. Robertson is looking
remarkably well and expresses himself
as being glad to get back home to Ore.

Ice Man Sued For Divorce.
Mrs. Susan Harris has commenced
suit for a decree of divorce Rgainst
her husband, Henry E. Harris, who
is interested in the manufacture of ice
in this oity and Portland. They were
married in Marquam, September 12,
1888, and have three children, Wilda,
aged 16 years, Ulaurlo, agea 14 years
and Gilbert, aged 13 yearfl. Mrs.
Harris alle&ea that her husband treated
her in a cruel and inhuman manner,

erately planned to get them at a dis
tance, and insisted. they should move
from Portland to Oregon City. The
plaintiff as that her husband pay her
$2o per month for tl e support of each

Will Soon Have Mail Delivery.
Whilitlyi people of this city are
clamoring for a free mail delivery,
the anhoritieB who have the power to
do things are working quietly, and
it is only a . question of time before
this city has a postal delivery. Post
master Tom P. Randall already is
working on the matter and will
shortly send in a petition to the de
partment for the service. After the
hodse numbers have been put, up the
service can be granted on the post
master's request alone bpt he intends
to send in his petition whh the names
of th mayor and city council, and
perhaps some other citizens. This
will give more weight, to the letter
and consequently will hurry np the
officials at Washington.

Water Bailiff W. W. Smith reports
that a large number of salmon have
collected below the dam on tin
Clackamas River at Cazadero. No
flshway has yet boen placed there.
These salmon are the spring ran, and
are tne finest variety on the market.
