Mr and Mrs. Braytou, of Park d lace, were guests of the Grange. On'account of the busy season only a few members were on hand in the morning. A good dinner was served, however. Brother Bray ton presented the matter of form ing a Clackamas Cometory Associa tion. It was finally decided to lay the matter before a meeting of the citizens at the cemetery erounds. which is to take place in the near fu ture. Mr. Brayton learned that a deed to the lot is held ;by the Matlock heirs in trust until such time as a Baptist uhurch may be established here. The literary hour was filled bv an impromptu (program. Sister Bray ton congratulated the Grange on hav ing members who were prompt and willing to contribute to the enjoyment of the hoot. Monday night the house of William Phillips was completely burned. The fire Btarted from a defective flue and was well under way before discov ered. All the furniture in the lower front part of the house was saved. but dishes, canned fruit and much bedding and clothing was destroyed. There was an insurance in the Grange for $(i00. , B.
