Mrs. Mary Roberts, Funeral of the Into Mrs. Mary Rob erts, wtio died Thursday night, was held Sunday afternoon from the First Presbyterian church, Kev. J. Robert Limdsl or :uj.h officiating. Mrs. Rob erts was aged 74 years, 6 mouths, and 9 days. She was born September 15, 1829, in Tiullan Dwgyt'ylche, Carn arvan Shire, North Wales. On Aug ust 9, 1848, she was married to Rich ard E. Roberts, and two years later went to Wisconsin, where they resided for two yews. She came west, arriv ing in Oregon in 1852. Deceased is survived by a husband and five chil dren : Mrs. Jennie May, of Portland, Or.,; Mrs. Frank Jaggar, of Cams, Or. ; E. G. Roberts, Sarah A. Roberts and Grace Roberts., of Oregon City. She also leaves a brother, Moses Rob erts, of Dakota, and two sisters, Mrs. Jane Singer, of Portland, Or., and Mrs. Roberf, Thomas, of Lake Crystal, Minn. Jared Tobey. Jared Tobey died Sunday morning at the home of his parents in West Oregon City, aged 20 years. He had been working in Pettit's sawmill on the Abernethy, and while there was Btricken with pneumonia, and was brought to his home. The funeral took plaoe Tuesday afternoon from the First Baptist church. S. D. Coalman. Stephen D. Coalman, presi lent of the Mount Hood and Barlow tollroad, died at Sandy Satnrdny morning, aged 72 years. He was in this city Mon day attending a meeting of the road company, and complaiued of feeling ill. Tuesday morning he took a car for Boring, and from there entered the stage bound for Sandy, and when he arrived he had to be lifted from the conveyance and was carried to the hotel, where death came Satur day. A severe attack ' of lagrippe, coupled with his advanced age was the cause of death. Coalman had long been a resident of Clackamas county, and his home was four miles from Sandy, where he had resided for probably 40 yeurs. He is survived by one son, Elijah Coalman. ' Nettle Gradoa Bradley. Nettie Gradou Bradley died in Good Samaritan hospital Monday af ternoon of Landry's paralysis, aged 18 years and 5 months. Sim was tho only surviving child of Mr. and Mrs. J jhn O. Bradley, and was born No vember 9, 1886. The funeral was hold Wednesday afternoon from the family residence, Kev. P. K. Hammond, rec tor oi St. Paul's Episcopal churuh, officiating. The untimely death of Nettie Gradon Bradley has cast a deep gloom over her many mends m this oity, where she had iived since child hood. Three weeks ago Inst Sunday eho was suddenly and without warning seized with paralysis. Last week she was taken to Portland, where she might receive hospital treatmont, but skilled medical aid was unavailing. Nettie Bradley was graduated from the Oregon City high school in the February, 1904, class and has since been a student at Portland Academy, beng a member of the Juue, 1906, class. She was organist at St. Paul s church and was a teacher ia the Sun day school, and was a zoalous and earnest church worker.
