OREGON CITY COURIER, FRIDAY, MARCH 24, 1905. 8 The California Healer Still Continues to Attract the Sick. HERE COMES THE BOGIE MAN IS SICK AND VERY TIRED Selling-Hirsch the Scene of Many Remarkable Cures. You liave been i o ustomed, in your Btodv on most questions of import ance, to follow it to the end. Did yon ever consider lh:tr no one had solved the problem of maintaining man in a stale of health? We say HAD, meaning t'mt the problem has now been solved as n p icntilic fact, and v ' J- 'y,. 7V-' - . that it is receiving daily demonstra tions by tli" riiso ivt-ror, 0. VV. Hurris, at 2ii-'4 Selling-riirsoh building. Readors of Tlio Courier who grasp the uieiitihiR of tiiis simple expres sion, "Banish sickness and dsease," will iu.stan'lv perceive the immmeas nrable prospui ts wliicli it opens. Think what hum in ty can accom plish for itself wlien freed from the dread and suffering of disease. Think what pleasure of life unfolds to a man who enjoys perfect health. Almost anything is possible to such a man or woman, their capacities are so broadened. The purpose of this brief article Is to make plain that such a result is possible. That without the use of drugs or medicine in any form, Healer Harris is daily curing people of every known ailment. No one need suffer longer. God did not create man in His image and likeness for the purpose of racking his body with disease. Sickness is the fault of hu manity. Sickness is an expression of sin, sin agaiiiHt the body which Ood has given us as the temple of the soul. 1 Disease is not natural, nothing could be more unnatural, more foreign to the normal workings of Nature. ; Ever generous, always ready to con done her wayward children, Nature provides an absolnte, positive cure for the unnatural conditions of the body which we call disease. But don't look to mineral poisons or veg etable narcotics for this oure. Nature already has her hands full in this un equal contest you force upon her, without being compelled to fight pois ons from without which are admin istered under the pretense that thev are to assist her in her work. No. Ihe cure is closer to hand. It is within von. God has endowed every human being with a power suf ficient to maintain that body in Der- fect health, against all the influences of external causes. lor centuries this nower has re mained dormant and unavailed of ex cept to a slight degree, and NO ONE has bjeen able to show another what it was and a way to use it for self and others. Herein is the discovery. Healer Harris has discovered what the power is, and how to avail of it-. By using methods which his investigations have developed, he is able to incite it to operation in the diseased body, and enable that body to cure itself. He is able, moreover, to instruct the pa tient so that the harmonious action of the functions will be maintained and a condition of health become perma nent. Continuing his investigations along these lines, Mr. Harris lias de ducted cortain fixed principles, which he uses in these treatments. Traoing them back to their beginning he has formulated a system which covers the subject thoroughly and makes per fectly plain to every one the theory an-i practice of this wonderful new science. This information he has em bodied in a course of lectures. Assessment of Property Has Commenced. THREE MONTHS REQUIRED Deputies Will Take Census of Persons Liable to Mil tary Duty Six in the Field. BY A LITTLE STUDY YOU CAN MASTER THIS SUBJECT. Anyone can' easily comprehend the subject as he haudles it, and everyone is endowed with tne ability to do the work. It is a gift from God, mnch the same as the' gift of sight, but through neglect we have como to re gard its every manifestation as some thing uncanny or superhuman. Prof. Harris explains it all on perfectly ra-1 tional lines, and shows it to be in compote agreement with the latest theories of science. Remember that to oonsnlt this man on any professional subject whatever the price is now f 3, and this will be advanced shortly, but if yon will ; bring tins article when you call on him, and present it in the name of The Courier you will receive consul tation and treatment free. Till l i . . . ei. jq. riuioi, a resiaenc ana prop. erty owner of Eagle Creek, has riled 'a remonstrance in the county court against cue petition 01 U. JN. and El sie J. Foster fcr the vacation of cer. tain streets and alleys in Easrle Creek. Elliot Daid $4500 for two lots in Eagle Creek, and alleges that he would be greatly damaged by the granting of the petition for the vacation of the streets and alleys, as his property would depreciate in value. Elliot claims that he is entitled to nshts in the streets and alleys, as he purchased nis iocs unaer trie assurance and rep resencacion 01 cue townsite owners that all of the property would be sold for townsite purposes. This is Foster's second petition. Elliot; successfully remonstrated against his first petition ior tne vacation 01 tne streets of the town. Very emphatically does J. N. Bram hall, representative from Clackamas county, support Governor Chamber lain iu his determination not to take the initiative in calling a special ses sion of the legislature. He pats him self on record as bitterly opposed to the proposed special session. Follow ing is his communication: WOODLANJJ, Wash , March 11. (To the Editor of The Evening Tele gram). Dear Sir: Being very busy at my logging camp at this plaoe, 1 have been reading your paper aud at the same time shaking in my logging shoes for fear the governor would call a special sessiou of the legislature, but, this evening has eased my mind considerably when I read what the governor has to say in regard to the matter. In my opinion we don't need a special session any more than a wagon does live wheels. It's strange to me that some of my colleagues think they can get together for three or four day's and fix a proposition that they worke . on for 40 uays, aud now have just waked up and thought it's all wrong. They talk about ottering their ser vices free. Wliv, my dear sir, it will cost the state more than the whole appropriation amounts to, for some of those fellows will get their graft iu some place, you bet. I am sick and tired and more than disgusted with the whole shooting match, and I want to forget that I ever had the honor of a seat in the house of representatives as soon as possible. Governor, stand pat, there won't be two-thirds from the senate and house in favor, for there are a few of us who have something else to do besides go to Salem aud look wise and vote as the machine tells us to do. I objected frcm the start to being handled by a machine and I still stand pat I voted to cut down the normal school appropriation, and it was out down in the house, but the senate put it back, and it was either pass the bill or have no appropriation. As far as the normal schools are concerned, I advocated all through the session to abolish at least two schools and establish two good schools and appropriate sufficient funds to take care of them, which would be no trouble, and there is no doubt in my opinion that we would nave better and more graduates than we nave Had in the past. I sincerely hope that there will be no special ses sion j it is all uncalled for ; I am bit terly opposed to it. Yours very resectfully, J. N. BKAMHALL. A Chicago Alderman Owes His Election to Chamberlain's Cough Remedy, "I can heartily aud conscientiouslv recommend Chamberlain's Cough Remedy for affections of the throat and lungs," says Hon. John Shen ick, 220 So. Peoria St., Chicago. Two years ago daring a political campaign, 1 caught cold after being overheated, which irritated mv throat and I was finally compelled to stop, as I could not speak aloud. In my ex tremity a . friend advised me to use Chamberlain's Cough Remedy. I took two doses that afternoon and oould not believe my senses when I found the next morning the inflamma tion had largely subsided,. I took several doses that day, kept right on talking through the campaign, and I thank this medicine that I won mv seat in the Coui cil. " This remedy is for sale by Geo. A.
