Friday evening of this week there will be an entertainment at Sbiveley's opera house, given bv the young people of the Presbyterian church. The program will be of a muBical and literary nature. Mrs. Kate Ward Pope will sing a solo and the male quaitette of the Presbyterian church and the lad ies quartette of the Congregational church will sing. Mr. Confer will render a selection and there will be a number of ether entertaining features. Refreshments will be served after the literary program. The public is invited. The liquid air exhibition at the Opera house is the attraction for Thursday evening of this week and will no doubt prove quite entertaining, Weston & Herbert's Vaudeville per formers played a two-night's engage ment at the opera house last week, Thursday and Friday night, and those who witnessed the show, say it was quite the beet of its kind that has visited Oregon City ior a good while. 'His Absent Boy" was the attraction at the Opera house Tuesday evening, and was witnessed by a large and highly pleased audience. The boys af the ninth and tenth grades of the Barclay Bchool will give an enter tain merit and dtnee in the Willamette hall to-uiorrow evenit g. Tumey's orchestra has been engaged for the oc casion and an interesting program has been arranged. The aff-tir is given for tho purpose of raining money to defny the expenses of the athletic work oi the high school. Admission of 25 cents will be charged.
