Maple Lane Orange Resolution.
Whereas; The legislature at its last
session made an appropriation ot 1(500,
000,00 for the Lewis & Clark Fair and
whereas the farmers and laborers hava
the bulk cl the taxes to pay.
Therefore be it resolved ; by Maple
Lane Grange, No. 296 P. of H. that it is
our n ih to go on record as favoring a
referendum vote on the same by the
qualified electors of the state of Oregon.
Be it further Resolved. That a copy
of this resolution be sent to the Port
hind Oregonian and to each of the Ort
gon City papers.
