When there is weak back or bearing down pains, sideache or other indications ot womaniy weaK ness, exercise can only aggravate the condition. The womanly health must be first restored be fore strength can be developed by exer cise. Dr. Pierce's Fa vorite Prescription makes weak women strong and sick women well. It does this by healing the womanly diseases which undermine the general health. It stops the drains that weaken women, heals inflammation and ul ceration and cures female weakness. When I first com mtnctd using Doctor Pierce's medicines," writes Mrs. George A. Strong, o Gausevoort, Saratoga Co., N. Y., I was suffering from fe male weakness, a dis agreeable drain, bearing down pains, weak and tired feeling all the time. I dragged around m that way for two years, and I began taking your medicine. After taking arst bottle I began to feel better. I tctok four bottles of Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription, two of ' Golden Medical Discovery,' one vial of ' Pleasant Pellets,' also used one bottle of Dr. Sage's Catarrh Remedy. Now I feel like a new person. I can't thank you enough for your kind advice and the good your medicine has done me. I have a sister who is taking your medicine and it is helping her." Dr. Pierce's Pleasant Pellets promote regularity of the bowels, and assist the action of "Favorite Prescription." No other laxative should be used with Dr. Pierce's Medicines. A week of excellent dramatic per formances is offered at. popular prices, commencing Monday, March 17th, wiih Jessie Shirlev as the leading light of the aggregation of carefully selected players. The list of plays is so varied as to suit all tastes and each is elaborately cos tumed and carefully staged, with all at tention paid to modern dramatic art and requirements. With this splendid company of twenty-two people the man agement carries its own otchestra, in orde to give full t ffect to the presenta tion of the several plays from a musical as well a a dramatic and scenic stand point. Miss Shirley is too well known to our theater goere that an introduction would be necessary . Her performances are always marked by a finish and carefulness as to details, unapproachable by an other company that visits here. The repertoire will be as follows : A Young Wife. For Fair Virginia, Nell Gwynne, Oamiile, The Two Or phans, The Sultan's Daughter, and for matinee The Wyoming Mail. The opening bill will be A ifoung Wife. The Young Wife, a modern melo drama, by J. K. Tillotson, the well known writer of dramas of the sensa tional type, will be the bill. Last season, "when presented at the Four teenth Street Theater, New York, the play scored a tun of over 100 consecutive performances and immediately after two high-priced companies duplicated its triumph throughout the country. But few stock theaters have as yet had the privilege of presenting it and this will be its first presentation in this city at pt pular prices. A powerful romance, thrilling inci dents, good scenic effects and a number cf interesting characters dave been the foundation I t the success this plav has met with. The action takes place in New York and the Bowery as well as Fifth Avenue is represented in its char acters. A wealthy banker, his own sun, an adopted son and his daughter-in-law are the principal figures. The son, a profligate and an associate of crooks, unbeknown to his father, is in lore wiih his adopted brother's wife and resorts to every means In h;s power to alienate her affections. Being short of money he plans to rob his father's safe. While in the drawing room with a notorious cracksman, he is surprised by his father and in a struggle with him stabs him with a paper-knife. He and his pal flee from the scene, the body is found by the young wife and she is accused of the crime. After many exciting complica tions and many days of suffering, dur ing which time she is abducted by her brother-in-law and rescued by chivalrous young countryman, she is finally cleared of the charge and her persecutor escapes his punishment by committing suicule. ihere are many bright comedy scenes throughout the play, and a number of amusing charac ters. This will be the Shirlev Co.'s op ening bill next Monday. Cough Settled on Her Luugs.
