As no one will take notice of our town
I take my pen to let you know we are all
able to navigat.

We have had flue weather for the past
two weekR, something unusual for this
time of the yi-ar.
The fine weather we have been having
has started a number of the farmers to
plowing, and if suh weather continues
another week there will be some sowing
done.
Two bald eagles were seen soaring
over this place la8t week, something
that is not often seen of late years.
It looks as though sprng is about here
as tne hinemrds are with usagain.
P. J. Ridings dehorned his cattle last
week.
Prof Halpruner's dancing class was
well represented from this place last

J. A. Ridings is preparing to pole his
new hop yard which adds 10 acres more
to his yard.
Miss Zoe Shaver has been visiting
friends and relatives in Oregon City and
Portland tor the past week.
T. 0. R. has been making ax handles.

handhold fixed yet.
Steve Philipi hasn't been in our town
for some time.
Fall sown grain looks very well.
An enjopable surprise was given Miss
Carrie Adams last Wednesday evening
by the school children. The evening
was spent by playing games suitable for
the occasion.
It looks as thorn h our pleasant
weather will continue for some time.

ington, where lie will work in a logging
camp.

country. The sun is shining; the birds
singing their sweet melody; the fog is
gone and the weather is calm and clear.

Ball brothers are making quite a num
ber of improvements in the way of slash
ing and falling timber.
Oal Ball has built, a new wagon shed,
which improves the appearance of his

Mr. an I Mrs. Andrew Johnson gave
a supper in honor of their 10th anniver
sary and invited their friends and neigh
bors. Vocal and instrumental music
were rendered. The guests enjoyed
hearing several selections from a graph
ophone. At a late hour dainty refresh
ments were served, after which all went
home wishing Mr. and Mrs. Johnson,
such pleasant time in another 10
