Now comes F M Samson and presents eaid petition to the board, and the board not being fully satisfied, it is ordered that said said matter be referred to Eoad Master Oounsell to examine same and report at the next regular term of this board. In the matter of the allowance made to Mr and Mrs Able. Owing to the death of Mrs Able, said allowance was reduced to $8 per month for Mr Abel to commence October 1, 1899, and first war rant for said $8 to be drawn in favor of Mrs London, Nov 1, 1899. In the matter of the road on Renoud's place near Can by, it is ordered by the board that said matter be referred to Supervisor Dimick, of district 17, in which eaid road is situated, with power to act. In the matter of the bridge broken down in road district No, 15 by Bartb s Heinz's threshing engine, it is order ed by the board that John Barth, super visor 01 saiu roau district be ordered to repair the bridge at his own expense. In the matter of the report of viewers on the petition of John Ferguson etal for a county road. In the matter of the report of H M Reibhoff, W P Kircbem and C, E. Spence, viewers appointed at the last term ol the board to view and locate a county road situated in Clacka mas county, Oregon, described in full on page 209 of this journal ; said viewers tiled their report showing that they bad met on the 23rd day of August, a day named in the notice served unon them and were duly sworn by subscribing to a written oatn 01 omce auminmtered by J, W. Meldrum, deputy county surveyor, after which they proceed to the designa ted place and did view and cause to be surveyed by said deputy county surveyor the above described road. They also filed the field notes and plat of the sur vey. Said viewers report favorably to the establishing of said road as viewed and surveyed for the reason that it is a good, practical route and of public utility.
