Y. M. O. A. cordially invite the atten-

The building is 100 ft. in length, 48 ft.
wide, and fronts directly on Main street,

Mr. Hulbert, from Nebraska, has been
visiting old friends in this community

vicinits, went to Oregon City and
brought out a load of furniture the other
day.
F. Walker went to Portland on Mon
day. Miss Minnie Walker is visiting friends
at Garfield.

From the foregoing statement it is ap
parent that the totsl v ilivition of the Y.
M. C. A. property is $3210 and the pies
ent indebtedness, including price of lot
and old indebtedness, amoun s to $1700.
Deducting old debt and. pi ice of lot from
a'Ove amount and there remains less
than $700 unpledged of the $2")00 put in
to tin' building. The board has borrowed
this $700 i n hs personal nolcs to coin
nlete the building, but is gratified at this

Sealed bids will be received at the
county clerk's office for the constiuction
of a Howe truss bridge across North
Rock creek. Said bridge to be a 130
loot span w'th double bents. East bent
lo be 12 feet high, and west bent to be
14 feet high. Plans can be found in
clerk's office or bidders can turnisti
plans. Bids will be opened at 10:dU
o'clock July 6, 1899. The board reserves
the light to reject any or an urns.

receive sealed bids st the residence of
the school clerk, on Seventh street, ir
Oregon City, Oregon, up to the hour of
seven o'clock p. m., on Friday, July 14,
1899, for the sale and delivery to the
district ot 120 coidi of good, sound,
four foot fir wood, which has been cut
from large, live standing timber, and
thoroughly seasoned. Said wood to be
first v la-s in all respects and suitable for
use in the furnaces of ihe school build
ings. Seventy con's of said wood to be
delivered at the Ban-lay school building;
on 12th street, and 50 cords at the East
ham school building on 7th street. Said

tember 1st, 1899. The board of directors
reserve the right to reject any or all bids.
