The bladder wan created for one pur
pose, namely, a receptacle for the urine,
and h nuch it is not liable to any form of

first way ie trom imperfect action of the

80 the womb, like the bladder, va creat
ed for one purpose, and if not doctored
too much is not liable to weakness or
disease, except in rare cases. It is
situated back of any Vr-ry close to the
bladder, therefore any pain, disease or
inconvenience manili sled in the kidneys,
back, bladder or urinary passage is often,
by mistake, attributed to female weak
ness or womb troubles of some sort.
The error is easily mado and mav be as
easily avoided. To find out correctly,

Union State Platform.
United in a common cauae for the aacred
purpose of preserving; the principles of gov
ernment by the whole people, in fact aa well
as in name, restoring; and mainte'-lns
equality, under that government, of all
classes, we, the people's democratic and kll-ver-republlcan
parties of the acate of Oi
gon, waiving all minor potnta of dlfterenca
and uniting for the purpose ot carrying out
the great underlying principles upon which
we are all agreed, do make and present
to the people of this state the following dec
laration of principles, and to the carrying
out of which we aolemnly pledge each and
every candidate upon our united ticket:
First We demand the free and unrestrict
ed coinage of sliver and gold at the pres
ent legal ratio of 18 to 1, without waiting
for the consent of foreign natlona; and we
are unalterably opposed to the policy of the
present republican administration In de
manding the retirement of greenbacks, and
the turning over of the money-making pow
er of the government to the national banka,
as presented by the bill drawn by the republican-
secretary of the treasury, and Indorsed
by President McKinley: and wo especially
denounce the avowed attempt by aaid bill to
fasten the country Irrevocably and forever
to the single gold standard.
VvTe demand a national money, safe and
sound, issued by the general government
only, without the Intervention of banks of
Issue, to be a full legal tender for all debts,
public and private; also a Just, equitable
and efficient means of distribution direct to
the people through the lawful disbursements
of the government.
We demand that the volume of circulating
medium be speedily Increased to an amount
sufficient to meet the demanda of the busi
ness and population of this country, and to
restore the Juat level of prlcea of labor and
production.
We favor such legislation aa will prevent
for the future the demonetization of any
kind of legal-tender money by private con
tract. We demand that the government, in pay
ment of lta obligations, shall use Its option
aa to the kind of lawful money In which
they are to be paid, and we denounce the
present and preceding administrations for
aurrendering thla option to the hoidera of
government obllgatlona.
We demand that there shall be no further
1ue ot United Statea Interest - bearing
bonda.
We demand that postal savings banks be
established by the government for the safe
deposit of the savings of the people and to
facilitate exchange.
We demand the election ef United Statea
aenatora by direct vote of the people.
We demand the Initiative and referendum
aystem of law-making in lta optional form,
local, atate and national, and the aubmla
alon by congress ot all Important national
queatlona for an advisory vote ot the peo
ple, until auch time as the national consti
tution ahall have been amended ao aa to
provide for direct legislation.
We condemn aa dangerous and unjust the
surrender, In all departments of the govern
ment, to the Influence ot truata, corporatlona
and aggregations of wealth generally; and
the packing of the highest courts of the land
with corporation lawyera, too ready to do
the will of their late employers, and to aet
aside valid and wholesome laws passed by
the legislative departments ot the states and
government, upon flimsy pretexts, at the be
hests of such Institutions.
-We are opposed to government by injunc
tion. In atate mattera, we demand:
A simple and well-guarded registration
law.
A more equitable mode of appointing
Judges of election.
Stringent laws to regulate the operation of
fish traps, fish wheels and all Ashing gear
In the watera within the Jurisdiction of the
state.
We denounce and condemn the corrupt and
extravagant republican legislative assem
bllea, and charge that the republican party,
in lta eaernesa for the spoils of office, has
become divided into warring factlona, ao
that lt la Incapable of government aa ex
emplified by the condition existing in the of
fice of the atate treasurer, there being at
thia time more than $500,000 therein wrung
from the people by the prooeaa of taxation,
while atate warranta are atainped "Not
paid for want of funds."
We demand that all district and county of
ficers be placed upon aalarlea commensurate
with the duties to be performed by them.
Inasmuch aa railroad and other corporate
property la not bearing lta proportion of
taxation, we demand that auch property
ahall bear lta Just and equal ahare ot the
expenaea ot government.
