Methods of Teaching History was dis cussed by Messrs. L. T. Anderson, Alex. Thompson, N. W. Bowlaud, T. J. Gary and Misses Edna Ko.ss and Olive.Lewdel- "'Miss Bessie Evans favored the teachere with a recitation. Miss Evans is an eh" cutionist of considerable ability and the teachers enjoyed listening to her verv much. . Dinner was then announced. Tho Concord people had prepared a table on the school grounds ami invited the peda gogue to eat, which they hll did hearti ly. After dinner Mrs. Derry and the Misses ClnVNoii furnished a beautiful selection which pleased the audience so much that the singers were called back. Messrs. While, Meindle, Fitch, Miss Rogers and Mrs. Bradley were elected to memlieraiiip. The next was a debate Hts'ilred, That, whispering should he absolutely prohibited, was then partici pated in'bv Messrs. . O. Strange, T. J. Gary, Chas. Tallioan and Jennie Kowen. Civil government was discussed by W. W. Austin, W. A. Starkweather, Mr. . Robertson and Alex Thomson, then in terested us with recolleetious of their Bi hool days. 1 A resolution thanking the people of Concord and Miss Bessie Evans lor their entertainment.
