The Oceola brass band ha been en. gaged lo furnish music for the celebra tion at Union Park oo July 3d. A neck-lie social was held at the residence of George Armstrong on last Friday evening Neckties were sold by the dozen. With each necktin we got a girl and a cake; the cake was fine bat the girls were, Oh, my. The M. E. church will soon be fitted up with a fine bell., There was an ice cream social at the residence of Mr. Lindsley on laat Wed nesday evening, given in honor of the Oceola brass band. The bar.d boys ar rived at 8:r0 and rendered some fine music until 10 o'clock then the boys partook of a delicious supper, consisting of ice cream, strawberries and cake, which all present did ample justice.
