SHOOTING INVESTIGATION IN
NORTHEAST PORTLAND’S LLOYD
DISTRICT - ONE PERSON INJURED

On Sunday October 18, 2015, at 11:43 p.m.,
North Precinct officers responded to Northeast
Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Weidler
Avenue on the report that a person in a vehicle
was suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers
and medical personnel arrived and located the
victim, a female believed to be in her late teens,
suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot
wound. She was transported to a Portland hos-
pital for treatment. Officers learned that the
shooting occurred on Martin Luther King near
Holladay Street and that the victim was a pas-
senger in a car when she was hit by gunfire. Of-
ficers located evidence of gunfire on Holladay
Street but do not have any suspect information.
It is not known if the victim was the intended
target or if this shooting has any connection
with the homicide that occurred shortly before
in Downtown Portland. Anyone with informa-
tion about this shooting is asked to call the Po-
lice Non-Emergency Line at 503-823-3333.
