She had three brothers, now all deceased, Robert (Bob) Pierce, William (Bill) Pierce, and Gary Pierce. She is survived by her adoring husband Ronald (Bud) Sessler, her loving children, Kenneth Sessler of Troutdale, OR, Daniel Sessler, of Bellingham, WA, Shelley Allar of Portland, OR, Timothy Sessler of Battleground, WA. Also, four grandchildren, Jessica Alesso, of Erie, PA, Kenny Sessler, Heather Sessler and Katie Sessler of Port- land, OR, and one great grand- child Daniel Alesso. Betty attended Burns Union High School, in Burns, OR. She worked nights as a telephone op- erator while she attended school, to help her parents and three younger brothers. She graduated BUHS in 1949. After high school, she worked in a few retail establishments in Burns, where she became well know and liked by many in the community. Betty met the love of her life, Ronald (Bud) Sessler, and they married July 4, 1954. Betty & Bud lived in Burns, OR until 1967, when they moved to Portland, OR. Most of all, Betty was a wonderful wife and mother to her family. She was a mother of four, but a “mom” to countless others over the years. She was one of the most loving, giving, and gentle women this earth has ever known, and words cannot express how much she will be missed. ======================== ======================== FloraJean Bonnin Sept 3, 1940 - Sept 20, 2015 FloraJean Marie Bonnin passed away on September 20, 2015 in Vancouver, Washington. She was born in Portland Oregon on Sep- tember 3, 1940 to Nicholas and Patricia Vetter. She was raised in Portland and attended The Holy Cross Catholic School and Girls Polytechnic High School. Af- ter High School she worked as a teacher’s aide at John Ball Ele- mentary and later worked at the Interstate Fred Meyer store as an Apparel clerk for over 18 years. She retired in 2008. FloraJean enjoyed being a home- maker as well as blanket making and baking. She is survived by her husband, Ward; Her Sons: Kevin, Kirk and Kelly Bonnin and Daughter, K’Lynn Skoko; Siblings: George Vetter, Patty Eg- ner, Carl Vetter and Mary Frances Werbin; Grandchildren: Bobbi Jo, Stacy, Shawna, Shane, Elisa, Brit- tany, Connor, Katie, Ward, three step-grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A rosary will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5227 N. Bowdoin Street in Port- land, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:45 AM and concluding with a Celebration of Life Party in the Church Hall afterward. Arrangements by Hustad Funer- al Home. ANNIVERSARY A diamond celebration Walter Sr. and Doris Scott are celebrating 60 years of marriage on October 15, 2015 and 50 years in ministry as well. They are retirees of their own business, Scott’s Masonry and the proud parents of 10 children, 36 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchil- dren and three great great grand- children. They have had the oppor- tunity to travel to Canada, the U.S. Virgin Island, South Korea, Japan, and Israel, just to name a few. They moved to Portland in the early 1970’s. Walter Sr. has pa- stored since 1967 and was confirmed Apostle in 2001 after serving the office of Bishop for over 30 years, and is to this day, the Bishop and Apostle of Port- land Miracle Revival Church and Miracle Re- vivals, Inc. Doris received certificates, plaques, Who’s Who, Woman of the Year, and Mother of the Year. The both speak powerful words of God at their church and abroad, or wherever the opportunity presents itself and God opens the door. They currently counsel couples, singles, individuals, and families. They have an ongoing minis- try: “Couples In Love.” They are also known for the famous game, “How well Do You Know Your Mate,” which is usually held on Valentine’s Day.
