St. Johns Art Party
Late August 7, 2015 at 11:52 p.m.,
North Precinct officers received a
call of a possible shooting at the
Q-Center at 4115 N. Mississippi
Ave. Officers responded to the lo-
cation and found a large number
of young adults outside who had
been at a social event at the loca-
tion. Officers were able to deter-
mine that a fight had broken out
inside the location which appeared
to have resulted in shots being
fired both inside and outside the
location. Investigators learned that
an individual was shot during this
incident. The victim, a 16-year-old
male, suffered a non-life-threaten-
ing wound and was treated at an
area hospital. The Gang Violence
Response Team is responded to as-
sist with the investigation.
A St. Johns Art Party will take
place on Saturday, August 22 from
9am-2pm, turning Leavitt St. (be-
tween Lombard and Ivanhoe,) into
a vibrant street fair extending from
the St. Johns Farmers Market.
The event will feature local art-
ists, interactive arts activities for
kids and adults, demos, face-paint-
ing, and free photo booth pictures!
There will be live music by Te-
vis Hodge, Chris Searle, and Sean
Oneill.
