From The Editor
Hi Readers,
Photos of the Bridge
Gayla
Patton
Owner/
Wow, is all I can say about the number of Editor
Bridge pics I’ve received for the 2015 St.
Johns Bridge photo contest. In the past ten
days there have been 46 pictures sent in. It
has been an arduous feat to pick the best ones. I’m NOT complaing
though, so please keep sending them in.
Pictures already sent in continue to be considered for the contest,
so don’t resend the same ones. My task just gets larger with each
issue as the number of photos each week grows. But, that’s my won-
derful problem to have. I love viewing them, seeing the creativity,
and look forward to seeing more.
It’s important to note, that photographs must be sent in by the pho-
tographer themselves. Please don’t send me someone else’s picture.
Also, make sure they’re high resolution and as I’ve stated before,
pictures lose some of their quality when printed on newsprint – that
can’t be helped.
Articles/Information
Several times each year I like to remind readers (old and new) that
the St. Johns Review is YOUR community newspaper and there-
fore you all may consider yourself a Review contributing writer.
PLEASE send in any information that you feel other readers will
fi nd worthwhile, entertaining, or necessary to know. I can’t possibly
be everywhere, so I depend on community members, associations
and organizations to forward events, meetings, news, pictures, and
other important information you feel others need to know. If you
fi nd it important and/or interesting, others will too. The only stipu-
lation is that if it is an upcoming event, it needs to be sent in by the
deadline for each issue. Look on Page 2 for issue dates and their
deadline and make sure you email (that’s quickest, easiest, and the
most reliable way,) or snail mail it to me.
Until next issue, take care.
